Historic Richmond Town is proud to open “Founding Principles: The Declaration of Independence, Civics, and Staten Island” that uses local historical examples and objects from our collection such as campaign buttons and items from 1776, to examine the levels and branches of government as well as the ways in which citizens engage government. It would also explore civic assets, public spaces, and forums for civic engagement. This exhibit will be open until July of 2028.
