What is the 250th?

The year 2026 marks 250 years since our country's founding. The entire country is participating in celebrations to commemorate the milestone. Our area of focus is to highlight Staten Island's ongoing role in our country’s history and future and to renew engagement with history by showcasing events for and from our local community relating to the Independence of America.

This website is managed by the office of the Borough President of Staten Island in cooperation with Historic Richmond Town.

How are the events approved?
